Acmella oleraceaThis annual grows to about 1 1/2  ft. high, and is very sensitive to frost.  In flower, there are 10 to 12 eyeballs at a time. The seedlings are very attractive to garden slugs, and must be protected by holding them in pots until mature. The photo shows three plants in a 12" pot, brought in for the winter where it seems to be thriving.  They could make a good houseplant in a well-lit, but cool room.
