Oenothera
aff. macroscles
Oenothera berlandierii
This is a rampant spreader. Six small seedlings set out in a straight line on 6/28/98 became a four foot wide jungle by 9/22/98 when I finally ripped them out. Instead of six plants, there were thousands. The plants are attractive and flower continuously. There must be an ideal spot for them somewhere, but not here. Control by placing in partial shade and poor ground.
